“The one who walks with the wise will become wise, but a companion of fools will suffer harm.” Proverbs 13:20 (HCSB)
Consider carefully the company that you keep and with whom you share your dreams, visions, issues, problems, and dilemmas. Walking with those who are wise will make your life better. Walking with those who are unwise – those who consistently make choices that dishonor God and others; those who are slaves to their appetites and desires; those who always lead but submit to and follow no one – will eventually corrupt your living, thinking, and being.
This Sunday we will continue our sermon series entitled Strengthening Our Relationships. Specifically, we will talk about the Power of Friendship. It is important that we know what characteristics we should look for in godly friends. Moreover, it is critical that we are aware of how to be a good friend to others. As I mentioned on Sunday, God is concerned about relationships. It honors God and blesses our communities and world when we develop and maintain real, healthy, and positive friendships. Are you mindful about the company that you keep?
Remember to invite your family members and friends to join us in worship this month as we engage this series about relationships!
