Noreen McIntosh
Although I just came on as the Administrative Assistant in April 06, the Church at Clarendon is my original home church. I grew up here and even though I moved where the Navy sent my husband (whom I met playing volleyball in the church gym), I kept ties to the church through regular visits home. I enjoy reading and most any kind of needlework including quilting, embroidery, and knitting/crocheting.
Laverne Garwood
I have worked in accounting and technology here at the church since Sept. 1985. It has sometimes been challenging and always interesting to be the (life long) Lutheran in the office!
My husband Pete and I live in Arlington Forest. We have two married sons and 3 grandchildren. We are both very active at St. John's Lutheran Church in Franconia where I am the Church Treasurer and have been a handbell player for the past 15 years. We love to spend time with our family, and we love the escape and adventure of world travel. I am a relentless knitter with several projects in the works most of the time. (I'm always on the lookout for travel or knitting conversation and tips!)
Freddy Merida
Freddy came to work for the church back in April of 1982, and over the years Freddy has learned nearly every trick there is to keep our building in good working order. He does everything from patching the roof to plumbing to maintaining the heating and air conditioning. Freddy is also responsible for supervising our janitorial staff as well keeping our building secure.
Carey Owen
Carey Owen is a part-time secretary for the Church at Clarendon. She is a native of Arlington, Virginia and lives with her husband, two children and an English Bull Terrier. She has been attending the Church at Clarendon since 1996. She enjoys doing volunteer work in her community and church, which include Meals on Wheels and running the church Clothing Center for ten years.
