Dr. Bill Smith, Interim Pastor

Dr. Bill Smith has pastored churches in San Francisco, Washington, D.C. and Arlington, Virginia. He has also worked on relief assignments in the Middle East.  He was educated at Baylor and Golden Gate Seminary and has taught Old Testament and other courses at the John Leland Theological Seminary, a ministry partner of the Church at Clarendon. He and his wife, Judy, live in Charlottesville and have three adult sons and three grandchildren. He blogs at: http://apreacherandsometimepoet.blogspot.com/.  In addition to preaching during our Sunday service, Dr. Smith will be available for personal counseling and officiating at weddings and funerals.  He will also serve as a consultant to the Pastor Search Committee, as they conduct the search for our future permanent pastor.

Deborah Shields, Church Administrator

Deborah was born in North Carolina, but grew up in Florida.  After graduating from high school she moved to Lynchburg, Virginia to attend Liberty University, where she majored in business administration. Deborah has spent the last 20+ years in the non-profit world as Director of Conference & Events.  She enjoys planning events, doing things for others, visits to the mountains and spending time with her family.

Eliazar Martinez, Facilities Sexton

Eliazar was born in Honduras, but moved to the United States in 1993.  He has one daughter who lives in Wisconsin, a son in New York and two sons back in Honduras.  In his spare time, Eliazar enjoys cooking and spending time with friends.
