Monthly Service Projects
Each month we look for an opportunity to try out a new project. Ideally these projects are suggested to us from within the church by someone who has a passion for the project. Past projects have included:
• Serving meals at The Carpenter’s Shelter
• Serving meals at Martha’s Table
• Sorting food at AFAC
• Hosting the annual Christmas Party for the DC Kids Ministry
• “Extreme Makeover” Project for Garfield Terrace Community Center
• Assemblying care packages at the USO for US soldiers

Foggy Bottom Dinner with the Homeless
April 18
Looking for a way to serve? The women's group has been helping 3 Strands Community Church in Foggy Bottom reach out to the homeless in DC, and they'd love you to join them! The next dinner is on April 18. We will need to arrive at 4:45pm to drop off the food before attending the Sunday night service at 3CC. We will then heat up/set up the dinner in time to serve around 6:30pm. If you can come help or would like to provide food for the dinner (we need 3 main dishes, 3 side dishes, salad, dessert and drinks), contact Laura Berry (laura.e.berry@gmail.com).
DC Kids
Bill McCarty leads our efforts in reaching the kids who live in Garfield Terrace and Faircliff housing projects of Washington DC. We are always looking for individuals who would be willing to invest their time in being with these kids. Contact Bill McCarty for more information at bmsaic@verizon.net.
Eco-team
Do you cringe when someone fails to double side their photocopies? Do you enjoy a morning cup of coffee but hate when it is served in a disposable cup? Are you not afraid of getting your hands dirty in order to help preserve God's creation? The Church at Clarendon has an Eco Team made up of individuals that answer "Yes!" to the above questions. The team is dedicated to helping the church community reduce, recycle and reuse on a daily basis and in turn helping to protect the world that God has entrusted to our care. Contact Julie Justus to get involved (jjust4all@yahoo.com).
